This is the House that Eidolon built.

What you'll find here will be: my ridiculous Thor AU, musings on the characters within that fic, musings on Norse Mythology, my sibling's art for my ridiculous Thor AU (eventually). The occasional preview of new material.

What you will not find here: Wank, whining about RL, overly personal information, general bitching.

This fic began under the guise of a reasonably straightforward prompt hailing from the Thor Kinkmeme. I will not repeat the prompt here, as I have kept only the essentials from its original form. Here are the relevant elements: Laufey must be an extremely loving and devoted father; Loki and Thor must be contracted into an arranged marriage; that is the entirety of what I've taken from the prompt.

Please note, this will be a Novel, by the time I'm done with it.

Warnings and Pairings as follows:

Incest, Mpreg, Violence, Mature Sexual Content, Mythological Weirdness, Unapologetic Crack, World Building, Gender Issues, Intersex Characters, Cultural Differences.

Thor/Loki, Odin/Frigga, Laufey/OC, subtextual Odin/Laufey.

Chapter Nine:
The rope by which to Hang.

The great entropic Voice roars and laughs and shrieks;
wind, and smoke and cracking ice;
built of all that is better left forgotten.
A grotesque mockery and a sibilant wonder.
Aye, Laufeyson. Well met, are we. For we are those that walk between.

Please note this chapter is unfinished, but it will be large, so this is a pre-emptive dividing up.

Chapter Eight: What can you offer me?

“Out,” Laufey intones with measured force. “Get thee away ghost, shade-King, Blind-One.”

Chapter Seven: Fear not that I should quaver. For I dare -- I dare.

This reeks of sacrifice, and if that is the Crown-Prince's plan...
Helblindi will have none of it.
He will offer his own throat first.
“Are you come here to die? To gut yourself for the King and his House?”

Chapter Six: Another that he might find a victim.

But Odin, for all the names his face bears, sheds, consumes, is still little mightier than a fool striving against the tide, a fool chasing the horizon.

Chapter Five: Each small gleam was a voice,

“Look here!” He cries. “Look here First Father Ymir!”
He breathes deep, lungs alive and shivering.
The skald magic is singing through his bones, making him free with his tongue, free with his joy.
“Am I not the first of Laufey's sons?”

Chapter 4: "You lie," he cried, And ran on.

"The Lord of the Aesir should not be so ignorant."

But he is, Mimir chuckles. He is.

Chapter Three: He made answer slowly, "Spirit, this is a world; This was your home."

Mercifully enough, his father has not forgotten. Or perhaps it is no such thing shaped as mercy, but a thing of torment, for Loki cannot imagine how it pains his father to be so reduced.
